Criminals sometimes pretend to be well-known marketplaces in order to steal money or passwords. This page explains how to recognise genuine ProMarkets communications and how to protect yourself. Questions or concerns about security: keepsecure@promarkets.net.
How to recognise us
- Our only website is https://promarkets.net. Check the address bar before you sign in or enter any details. Lookalike addresses (for example with extra words, hyphens or swapped letters) are not ours.
- Our emails come only from addresses ending in @promarkets.net — for example, no-reply@promarkets.net. A sender's display name can be faked, so check the full email address.
- Links in genuine ProMarkets emails lead only to promarkets.net. If a link's real address is different from the text shown, do not open it.
What we will never do
- Ask for your password, one-time codes or security answers, by email, phone or message.
- Ask you for payments, deposits or bank details, or ask you to pay anyone on our behalf.
- Ask you to install software or give anyone remote access to your device.
Dealing with sellers
- Sellers are independent. Before you pay, inspect the item, confirm the seller's identity and ownership, and be wary of pressure to pay quickly, requests for deposits to personal accounts, or prices that seem too good to be true.
Protecting your account
- Use a unique password of at least 10 characters that you do not use anywhere else, and do not share it.
- Sign out when you have finished, especially on shared or public devices.
Reporting a problem
- If you receive a suspicious message claiming to come from ProMarkets, or see a suspicious listing, forward it or report it to keepsecure@promarkets.net, or use the feedback form. Do not click links or reply to the sender.
- If you have lost money, contact your bank immediately and report it to the police where you live.
